Its been awhile since I've done anything on here besides writing a few blogs here and there. I think its been almost 2 years actually.
Either way, been long overdue for an update..
The previous picture I had was of the lake behind our condo. Was one of the very first pictures I took with the camera I have.
The photo here is of the ferry at Mukilteo beach in Mukilteo, Washington, not far from where we live. I took it in July 2007 late afternoon/early evening, with the digital camera I have (Canon PowerShot).
Just came from the Canon website where I was (close to) drooling over the newest model of the one I have.. I'd love to have a full digital SLR (single lens reflex), but not in the um, budget currently. The model I was looking at has a feature mine doesn't. The new model shoots in RAW image in addition to JPEG. (Sorry, not going to explain that here - do a search on Google if you'd like know more). Also records video in HD..!
Laughed at myself as the thought wandered through my brain: "hm, wonder if I can trade up on my camera?!". Actually, I think I could.. but again, not in the budget currently.. MAAAAAYBE before we go to Hawaii in April 2010..? I am also thinking I should talk to Willis about getting a camcorder, they've come down in price SO MUCH! (Something we've always wanted to have).
Anyway, I really love taking pictures. I think my strength is generally more in scenic shots than of people. Unless I'm taking pictures of my nieces and nephews that is. They're just so stinkin photogenic which makes it easy to take pictures of them!
I do have photo editing software (including Photoshop) on my laptop, so when I have the time, I can create/edit/fix etc. Love to create, but not very knowledgeable how to use Photoshop. I really need to take a class on it. Don't know when I'll have the time to do that, but is something on my LONG list of "Things I'd Like To Do In My Spare Time".. A list I'm sure many people have!
Well, those are my thoughts for the moment..
Comments are appreciated!
